What resolution will the thumbnail be?
YouTube exposes thumbnails up to 1920×1080 (maxresdefault) when the creator uploaded one. If only standard resolution exists, Vorix grabs the largest version YouTube serves — typically 1280×720 (hqdefault) or 640×480 (sddefault).
Is there a fee to download YouTube thumbnails?
No. Thumbnails are unlimited on the Vorix free plan — they do not count against the 3-downloads-per-5-hours cap that applies to videos and MP3 conversions.
Why are some thumbnails low resolution?
Because the creator never uploaded a high-resolution thumbnail. YouTube auto-generates 120×90 and 320×180 versions but only serves higher resolutions when the creator manually uploaded them. Vorix always returns the highest YouTube exposes.
Can I download thumbnails for YouTube Shorts?
