Privacy Policy

Vorix is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service, we do not sell your data, and we do not permanently store any media files you process through the Service. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Email address — if you subscribe to Pro or use our magic-link sign-in. Used solely to manage your account and send transactional emails.
• Usage data — aggregate, non-identifying request data (e.g., number of downloads in a time window) used to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
• IP address — collected transiently for rate limiting and security purposes. Not stored beyond the active request window.
• Device tokens — random identifiers stored locally on your device to associate your Pro subscription with your browser session. No personal information is embedded in these tokens.

Vorix does not permanently store any media files you process through the Service.

When you submit a link, the Service may temporarily download and process the associated media file to deliver it to your device. This temporary file exists only for the duration of the delivery process and is deleted automatically immediately after. We do not retain, analyze, or share these files.

All payment processing is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Vorix does not store or have access to your full credit card number or other sensitive payment details.

Paddle may collect and process billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We receive from Paddle only the information necessary to manage your subscription status (e.g., plan type, billing period, subscription ID).

Vorix stores the following data locally on your device using localStorage:

• Your Pro device token (if subscribed)
• Your selected language preference
• Your theme preference (dark/light)
• Your recent download history (free plan: up to 5 items; Pro: stored in our database)
• Your free plan usage counter and window timestamp

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Any cookies set are strictly functional.

Free plan users: your download history is stored entirely on your device (localStorage) and is never sent to our servers. Pro users: your history is stored in our database associated with your email address, to enable cross-device history access. You may clear your history at any time.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., page views, feature usage). Any analytics data collected is anonymized and is not associated with individual users or linked to personal identifiers.

We retain data only as long as necessary:

• Email and subscription data — retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal compliance.
• Magic link tokens — expire after 15 minutes and are permanently deleted.
• Temporary media files — deleted immediately after delivery to your device.
• IP-based rate limit data — expires automatically within minutes.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and data portability.

Vorix uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management.
• Supabase — secure cloud database infrastructure.
• Vercel — frontend hosting and content delivery.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
